EU Certified Organic Cacao Products
The Current Global Cacao Situation
Since late 2023 there is limited cacao available on the market, due to consecutive poor harvests in West Africa, particularly in Ghana and the Ivory Coast, which together produce approximately 70% of the world’s cacao. These harvests have been affected by a combination of extreme weather patterns, including excessive heat and irregular rainfall, and widespread crop diseases such as swollen shoot virus and black pod disease.
And so pricing has risen sharply – at times reaching three to four times the levels seen in previous years.
Even though our cacao is sourced from the premium areas in Peru and Dominican Republic, global transparency has created significant price volatility. Abbott Blackstone International is committed to maintaining sound partnerships with our producers in Peru and Dominican Republic to provide premium, EU certified organic cacao products that meet the highest standards – both in flavour and compliance. Currently, pricing is advantageous again!
Organic Cacao Beans

Our cacao beans are carefully selected, fermented, washed and roasted/ unroasted by our farmers and producers in Peru.
Organic Cacao Nibs

Our cacao nibs are created by a milling process of the roasted beans that produces small, dark bits of cacao nibs. The nibs possess a distinct chocolatey flavour that chocolate enthusiasts adore!
Organic Cacao Paste

Our cacao paste, (also known as cacao liquor and cacao mass) is created by taking the cacao nibs which are processed into a thick paste. Its silky texture makes it easy to blend with other products in chocolate and dessert making.
Organic Cacao Butter

Cacao paste is pressed, to separate the fat (cacao butter) from the cocoa solids. The resulting organic cacao butter is a light-yellow, plant-based fat that is a key ingredient in chocolate and can also be used in cosmetics and other food products. The remaining press cake gets ground into our beloved cacao powder, which still remains scarce!
All cacao products are typically packed in 15kg cartons with 5kg bags inside; 600kgs on 1 EPAL.
